Bio

Xilai Wang is a Master student at the University of Ottawa, supervised by Prof. Miodrag Bolic. He earned his B.Eng. degree from North China Electric Power University (Beijing) in 2023.

Research Interests

Currently a Master student in Electrical and Computer Engineering with Concentration in Applied Artificial Intelligence, Xilai is mentored by Dr. Miodrag Bolic. His research focus lies at the intersection of deep learning and computer vision for monitoring physiological signals based on wearable and contactless technologies. Specfically, Xilai works on human activity recognition, object tracking, and vital sign detection.
