Bio

Meng Lian was born in Heilongjiang, China, in July 1987. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronic information engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 2010 and 2013 respectively, followed by his Ph.D degree in information and communication engineering from HIT in 2019. From 2020 to 2023, he holds a postdoctoral position at the Postdoctoral Research Center of Electronic Science and Technology at HIT. His research interests encompass signal processing, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, and machine learning techniques. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D studies at the University of Ottawa…

Research Interests

Currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Meng is under the guidance of Dr. Miodrag Bolic as his mentor. His current research focuses on the convergence of deep learning and computer vision for UAV classification and tracking applications.
