Bio
Hamid earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Communication Systems) at the same university in 2014. Following several years of professional experience in both academia and industry, he pursued further graduate studies in the field of AI, earning a second master’s degree from the University of Ottawa in 2023. He continued his work with the CARG research team as an associate researcher, focusing on the integration of deep learning and statistical signal processing for autonomous vehicle applications.
Research Interests
His research interests include combining machine/deep learning with classical statistical signal and data processing, particularly in the field of autonomous vehicles, with a focus on UAVs.
